Wasabi

Prior to this project, Wasabi had no discernible branding of any kind. I wanted to create not just a logo, but a whole brand identity, that would appeal to the restaurant's audience: young professionals working in the area that sought out its fresh, quality sushi. Sushi is simple; it’s unassuming and welcoming. It’s not fussy or complicated. It can be a little messy, a little sticky. It is simple, understated. This is the basis for the Wasabi brand identity. It’s inviting, it’s humble, it’s delicious. So pick up your chopsticks, bring out the soy sauce, and enjoy.
